SUNday

It's sunny today, bordering on warm. It rained a lot yesterday.

As we were out making breakfast rounds, we went by the house... they were putting tar paper up on the walls in prep for putting the stucco netting. Of course, that raised immediate concerns for future mold. So I called up Frank. Not a problem according to him. It'll dry out from the inside in the WEEKS before we drywall. Gee. That's comforting. He then said he needed to meet us at the site to discuss electrical; about an hour from now he said. I told him that we'd be around for about an hour and a half before we had to head out for games (water polo and football).

It started to rain.

Frank didn't call. We cruised by the site to see if he was there. No luck. We told Antonio (who was installing a new lock, even after I had given him a new version of the original lock... WTF) to tell Frank that we came by... and to call us.

Frank didn't call. A motif, perhaps.

We're supposed to meet with Fred tomorrow... we'll shoot to make an appointment for 4:30. (I also need to call the City and see what's up with the fire sprinkler/water main issue).

I really don't (didn't at least) want to think about the house today (with the trip and the rain and what feels like a cold coming on, I just wanted to vegitate today... but Kyle needs shoes, Jack needs some time, and we have crap to do)... but this morning a neighbor called... seems the crew has been using her water (which had been fine... when the City hadn't yet metered the usage, but now... "we need to work something out" [despite the fact that we have given her the old door, and have our old windows and the closet waiting for her]... whatever... I just want to ignore everything for now)...

-------------------------------

Frank just called. Lisa's talking to him now... he wanted to know where the computer was going (as if there was only one). My girl told him that the architect's plans show where the data portS go... she told him we'd be by later this afternoon, but not now, and that if he had any questions about the plans, to give us a call.

Attagirl.

LOOK AT THE FREAKING PLANS!

-------------------------------

Wanted to take a nap... but the idea of Frank going "according to the plans" made me nervous, so we headed out to the site. Frank had already gone, so we called him to discuss data ports... Lisa tried to tell him that there were more than one computer network links... when that didn't work, I took over. I told him that the plans have 12 data ports throughout the house... I would be marking up the plans and leaving them in the house later this afternoon. He said that we should tell Cain the electrician about the plans as well.

We went into the house and met with Cain. He liked the idea of the updated plans... I'll leave them there tonight with the original plans. He took us around the house asking us for clarification on some things. Kitchen lights (the location of the pots for the island). The master bedroom (the architect left off the bed's reading lamps... great). The laundry room (the subpanel is not necessary... since the main panel [outside in the original location] will suffice... hmmm, is this another cost cutting measure?). Boys' rooms (desk lamps, slight movement and angling). Stairwell (re-angling of the lights). Exterior outlets for holiday lights (left off plan... damn). But all in all, not bad, particularly since much of the wiring is done (more pics tonight when we go to the Coreys for dinner).

Lisa talked to Juan Antonio about the water issue.... they'll stop using the water.

Now I'm revising the electrical plans...
