New York

I sit here in NYC prepping my room for a class I'll be teaching for the rest of the week. Friday night we delivered the doors. Saturday we were at the Coreys' for Jason's birthday party... and we saw that the doors had not yet been installed. Great. Glad we rushed.

After the UCLA debacle at the hands of the Utes (bitterness, disappointment, and anger... followed by copious amounts of rum), Lisa and I went next door to walk through our deserted house. The first time since demolition that we've been able to do this alone. We walked through every room, talking about how it's all going to work, looking at the plumbing and sprinklers, playing with the windows. It's like starting a new life together. A whole new home. It was kind of romantic in a purely constructionist kind of way.

We miss our home. I miss being home now even more.

Can't wait to get home.
