Check out the roof paneling and eaves on our second story!

Walking around to the east side, all looks great...

the boys' bath roofing is still incomplete,

but it's still pretty damn impressive.
Jack's room and the Family room all have eaves...

And the west side of the house is shaping up as well:

When I go inside, it's now pretty interesting to see the roof over areas of the first story that had up until this weekend been open to the sky; like the Laundry Room:

and what will be Dad's Bedroom:

In the Kitchen, we can see the beginnings of plumbing:

[the wall sink and refrigerator ice-maker supply, and wall sink drainage, are all in evidence]
And embedded in the wall

and ceiling

are the supplies and drains for the boys' bath upsstairs.
The stairwell now has walls and a roof:

Upstairs, it's so weird to have the feeling of enclosure, of a roof over our heads... Jack's room:

The boys' bath, though not completed with an outer east wall yet,

does have some plumbing in place:

(both toilet drain above, and sink stuff below)

At at some point, they'll need to open up this new bathroom roof for the skylight...

The Family Room is continuing to take shape, now that it has a ceiling:

From the deck, the roofs of both Jack's room

and the Family Room

look good. As does the western side of the house.

[you can see Dad's bedroom's roof frame (not yet paneled); notice there is not yet a even a roof frame over the western edge of the master bedroom...]
Kyle's room, too, is feeling more and more like a room...

one with a view: of the breakfast nook below...

and the stairwell to the right...

Back in the stairwell, we notice something about the laundry chute...

it's above the laundry room... ROOF!

It drops onto the roof...

We had been concerned about that since architect David's visit a couple of weeks back... it just felt like that the chute opening in the Family Room seemed high... and so it is... we don't know how this is going to be fixed (Lisa's not too concerned about it, but I really want the laundry chute because I know that without it our chances of getting the boys' dirty clothes down to the Laundry Room just went from slim to none).
And back up into the Family Room, we start to look at the attic spaces...

and how we're going to access them...

[that was looking up into where there should be a door to access the attic... but the sloping (west) roof line of the boys' bath covers it... that'll need to be cut open for access... otherwise, where will the heating/air conditioning unit go???]
But it is cool to see the beginnings of a roof for Dad's bedroom

(under the roof of which and above the ceiling of which we should have a nice little crawlspace/storage area...)
All in all, the work of the last two days has been pretty impressive.

We're hoping Fred's giving the guys today--Labor Day--off (I'm sure they need it and deserve it, [even if Jack and Thomas took them all lemonade yesterday... they need some rest, too])... as much as I want to get back into the house before New Year's, I'd hate to be working today (on a holiday and probably the hottest day of the year).
