Shoot... a Chute

Cruised by the site today (after noticing last night while taking Kyle to practice that they worked on a slight addition for the laundry chute).

The chute, while another departure from the plans, looks good:

And now we can see down it:

and back up...

The ceiling/roof is now up in both dad's room

and the master bedroom

Upstairs from the deck, we can see the western wall...

Somewhere along that wall, we're going to have a soffit for the external ducting for the heater/AC... I'm betting that it won't be centered (as that would be too close to the window), but rather toward the front (southern) edge of the wall.

All in all, an improvement.

Still haven't heard back from Dana at Coastline, re: the bath fixtures or the sprinkler "volume of supply"...

UPDATE: [11:20]
Dana just called. The sprinkler designer Robert (K from ALK Fire Protection in the Valley) says we need an inch valve and an inch-and-a-quarter pipe. Damn. And it's a disconnect... I thought the two had to be the same. So I've just left a message on the voice-mail of the City water guy, updating him and requesting a call so we can put together the project. Another 6K... damn.

UPDATE: [6:16]
Played phone tag with Hickox from the City... still haven't actually spoken with him
