Gone

On her way out to the pool this afternoon, Lisa called me and said even more of our house was gone. So after dinner, Lisa, Dad, and I went out to Maxine.

Some of the debris (though not all of it) is history:




The interior kitchen/living room wall is toast...

(it's really strange to see the bathroom and closet just standing there amidst... nothing)

As is the external kitchen wall...


And most of the north wall...

Interestingly, though, the dining room door jamb is still there (and that whole wall is going)... we're speculating that they're keeping the corner of the house for the electrical...



Still not sure what this hole (and footing) in the master badroom is for... support for the second story?






There's still so much to clean up... Dad figures at least another day or two of debris removal (especially as the backyard is still a disaster)... but even with a new dumpster, there's only so much space for trash...


The demo and the financial worries are taking their toll on Lisa. The loan from Dad certainly helps... but she needs to see some framing soon.

Hopefully, that will come by the end of the week.
