So I check out the locker with Grandma B yesterday with Kyle. It's semi-organized... half of it's organized, the rest is... not. We do some stacking, and place the sofa cushions and blinds in, allowing room for the sofa later.
Too much later, as it turns out. Jason and I didn't get to the storage place until after the gates lock at 7. So we decided to leave the sofa in the couch and Joni and I would take it over early this morning (before the gas and cable guys come (gas to hook up the stove and dryer, cable to deliver the DVR).
And the delivery went fine this morning... even picked up tickets for us to see the new Harry Potter tonight.
The gas guy came around 10... he hooked up the dryer, tested the heater, and hooked up the stove. He did NOT, however, hook up the lint tube... that fell to me and it was a pain in the ass. The hole in the wall was a little too small, and had the remnants of a former metal brace in it... I think it'll work, there's a load in there now, but it's drying pretty slowly.
The cable guys haven't come back yet... we shall see.
On another note, Jason tells me that the crew started jackhammer-demo around 7:15 this morning... boy, I hope the other neighbors like us as much as the Coreys do....
