Quick Catch-Up: Plumbing and Friends

The plumber came by and spent close to three hours working on the various issues:

• running toilets (flappers replaced),
• leaky faucets (adjustment made to the boys' faucet; faucet replacement in our bath),
• shower problem (knob replaced to allow us now to adjust temperature when the shower is running... we weren't able to before)
  

We were visited by friends: A teaching friend of Lisa's and son and little sister (who've we've jokingly called our "daughter" [who came with great news: she's beginning the English PhD program at UCLA in the fall]), and my best friend from high school and college (who we haven't seen in years, and who was in town for a funeral).

It was great seeing all of them, spending time to catch up... even if it was at the condo. [When Kev came by last night, I drove around with him searching for a parking place... none available (a combination of Friday night entertaining, weekend tenants, and the complete lack of parking spaces due to the elevator repairs).]

Can't wait to have friends over to the house when it's completed.
