Two Steps Up, One Step Back

They've primer-ed, continued with tiling (in the master and the upstairs showers), and started the kitchen cabinets... pics will be uploaded in the morning.

While all of this seems good, our dealings with Cathy the cabinet lady over the last few days has been less than optimal. Yesterday, she emailed to ask for a fax number to send the invoice for the bathroom vanities. I said I didn't have a working one (jeez, can we just get into the 21st century), but she could scan it and send it via email. She said she *might* be able to do that... so I responded that if she called, I could give her an AmEx number for the costs. She never emailed.

This morning, they called early (pre-8) to have us open up the gate for them. No problem...
But then later in the day she called to get cabinet shelf size for the microwave enclosure... something we went over (over the phone) weeks ago. When I said that I wasn't home (we were at Pa's watching another completely DISMAL UCLA Football performance... can we PLEASE fire Dorrell already???), she said that was OK, something we could handle later, and went on to different issues (what would cover the back of the cabinet units that were being placed on the ends of the island... answer: I'm assuming a backsplash made form granite). End of call.
Then even later, she called back, and I let (er, made) Lisa take the call. Cathy wanted the microwave size again. Lisa just about lost it.

Needless to say, there's a level of grumpiness. Hopefully tomorrow will be a better day.

All in all, pretty cool... though, there's some paint on the shingles...

That IS going to get taken care of, right?

It's shaping up... can't wait to see the progress later today...
