Just got a call from Fred. Not liking the sink choices: the island one is too tall (not deep, not wide but too long from front to back)... it's not allowing enough space for the faucet, so we need to go with a "guitar"-shaped sink, one with a bigger bowl and a smaller bowl; he thinks the window one is too wide, overkill.
And he needs the "templates" ASAP so the granite can move forward (this is an issue since his next checks come when tile and granite are done... and he's spent all we've given him thus far). But we can't give him templates without buying the sinks. So what happened with the lack of urgency on the sinks???
Lisa's not pleased. I'm numb. We'll go out today after school, and buy sinks, I guess. But it looks like the granite sinks are out, and stainless steel are in (and probably more expensive, knowing how this is turning out)... joy. Really wanted those granite sinks (especially with black appliances), but I guess this is not all about getting what we want, no matter how much it costs...
