Sink

The kitchen sink is in... we picked it up last night at HomeDepot.

We went by the house last night, joined by the Coreys (following Thomas' Thanksgiving performance). The downstairs and upstairs toilets are in (I had been initially concerned about the ADA toilet not being installed in the correct bathroom, but all is well), as are a few of the doors around the house.

Lisa noticed that there's no switch for the garbage disposal on the island.

So I emailed Fred last night about the missing switch and the sink template. The template is ready for pickup... if the granite place is open on Friday, and Fred can get us the address, we can drop the template off on our way to LA for the UCLA basketball game ... we'll be spending the night and then going to the final home game of the football season [and hopefully of Dorrell's head coaching career with the Bruins] on Saturday.

I think I need the getaway this weekend (it's been a tough week, and tomorrow is no easier... it's Thanksgiving, and I'm sure we're going to cruise by the house to show it off to visiting family... joy [not the family, but the visit to the worksite... I'm not back to enjoying those yet])... maybe I can stay away until we move in...

Nah, didn't think so.

UPDATE (9:06 am)

Fred just called. We'll be dropping off the template Friday afternoon. I was on the speakerphone with Fred and the granite guy, Victor... according to them, the counters should be installed Tuesday and Wednesday next week. Lisa will be thrilled.
